CENFIM is a cluster of more than 150 companies created in 2007 to facilitate the relationship between professionals and companies in the habitat and contract sector. It is made up of the wood and furniture business associations of the four Catalan provinces, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, the City Council of La Sénia and the Department of Industry of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The organization’s activity is focused on helping companies in the habitat sector in their value chain: manufacturing of raw materials, auxiliary industry, manufacturing of final products and distribution. Its main activities include R&D&i projects, technical training, occupational training and promotion of collaboration activities between companies.
CENFIM is recognized nationally and internationally as a support organization for the innovation of companies in the furniture sector and other habitat sectors such as lighting, home textile, decoration, carpentry, etc. With the aim of making them more competitive through innovation.
CENFIM also offers García Requejo the collaborative online interior design platform hicontract, which is part of its range of services. This platform is dedicated to the promotion of products and brands specialized in contract-hospitality (hotel and restaurant interior design) and is aimed at all Spanish-speaking professionals. Its main objective is to provide technical information on hotel interior design products to create working relationships in the contract-hospitality channel, and its audience is mainly made up of hotel purchasing managers and specifiers who are looking for suppliers for their interior design projects.
One of the advantages of this platform is that it has leading brands in the sector specialized in a wide variety of materials and contract products. Thanks to them, hicontract covers all areas of the hospitality sector: furniture, lighting, textiles, decoration, flooring, coverings, bathrooms, materials, hotel technology…
