Hotel Único Madrid
Located in the Salamanca district, in the heart of Madrid’s golden mile, is the hotel Único Madrid. It is a five-star boutique hotel and, as the name suggests, the guests are treated as unique, in an experience within the walls of this 19th century mansion.
Hotel Único Madrid
The accommodation is a 10-minute walk from the beautiful Retiro Park. In addition, the main museums of the Spanish capital (Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen Bornemitza), the historic canter and the most important financial offices of Madrid are also just a few minutes away by foot or by public transport.
During the day, natural light invades the spaces and it is possible to appreciate its noble architecture thanks to its high ceilings with large windows. When the sun goes down, the García Requejo lights are responsible for creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere that reflects the luxury and opulence of the place where, upon arrival, guests are greeted by a butler in white gloves.
In its 44 rooms and suites, everything has been carefully thought out: warm, neutral colors and warm fabrics. The guest senses the intimacy of the space through the warm light cast by the wall sconces on the majestic wooden headboards. In addition, the rooms are divided into small zones that are easily recognizable by the type of furniture and lighting that accompanies them: an elegant floor lamp strategically placed next to the sofa to provide a point of light for the reading and TV viewing area. A table lamp that enhances the desk and coffee area, etc.
In the common areas, the hotel’s exclusivity is reflected in all its elements: floors with spectacular Carrara marble mosaics, a lavish library dotted with fine floor lamps with a magnificent national and international collection available to its guests, a Wellness suite with the latest in LED technology where you can receive massages and beauty treatments, a gym with a personal trainer, and its best kept secret: A private garden with lounge area (masterfully illuminated to offer a homely atmosphere) from which you can access Ramón Freixa’s critically acclaimed restaurant.
In this project, García Requejo´s luminaires have been a fundamental element by transmitting the exclusivity and intimacy of the hotel in each of its rooms, through both technical and of course decorative lighting.
