Iberostar Grand Packard Hotel is a 5 stars plus hotel located in Old Havana. This hotel was inaugurated in 1911, reopened in 1931 and refurbished again in 2018 and has become a capital symbol. This sophisticated hotel named after the famous luxury cars brand, is located on the Paseo del Prado, the most important avenue of Old Havana. Therefore, it provides an easy access to the main entertainment areas. The hotel it’s next to emblematic buildings like the Velasco Palace and the National Capitol, and offers a beautiful view of the Malecon, the Havana’s Bay and the Castle of Three Kings of Morro.
This legendary hotel, where celebrities like Marlon Brando and Pablo Neruda stayed in the 50s, has 321 rooms equipped with the most exclusive services. Every corner of this charming establishment (located 100 meters from the center), has been renovated to offer first class services in an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. This place offers a tasting of the most exquisite Cuban gastronomy, panoramic views from the sixth-floor swimming pool and spa with chromo therapy among its luxuries.
The building’s facade is centenary and from there stands out the modern structure of its upper floors. This building still retains all its splendor due to the careful remodeling process. All decorative elements, from the furniture to the lighting, have been specially designed to fit in perfectly and create unique spaces.
The rooms of this restored historic building brims light thanks to García Requejo’s bespoke work: they were responsible for the lighting of more than 300 rooms and common areas, supplying bespoke lighting fixtures like floor and ceiling lamps. We produce luminaires with elegant designs to create chic and elegant atmospheres to enhance the hotel and give it personality.
LED luminaires decorates its common areas like the entrance where all guests can admire an original lamp with twisted optic fiber strands which decorates the high ceiling. It is also worth mentioning García Requejo’s designs for some of the outdoor furniture pieces like armchairs, chairs and tables. This furniture pieces which shine with their own light are used to decorate the terraces and create an intimate atmosphere to enjoy Havana’s evenings.
