Ecoconstrucción magazine highlights the innovation of GERMILED’s DUO system in its latest edition. This smart solution, combining LED lighting with ultraviolet C disinfection, promises to revolutionize safety and health in indoor spaces.
GERMILED revolutionizes indoor spaces with UV-C technology, achieving nearly complete disinfection, eliminating 99% of microorganisms. In response to heightened awareness of health risks, García Requejo spearheaded the creation of the GERMILED brand, integrating expertise in lighting and decoration to develop innovative solutions.
The DUO system seamlessly integrates LED and ultraviolet technologies, previously separate, into a single device, ensuring comprehensive disinfection. Ultraviolet C light, emitting at 253.7 nm, targets genetic material, triggering cell death, and sterilizing various spaces, from hospitals to offices and schools.
Equipped with four 15 W ultraviolet tubes and a central 30 W LED light source, DUO offers flexibility in operation. Additional features include a PIR sensor to prevent accidental exposures and a remote system for programming. Rigorous testing, in collaboration with the University of Burgos and the National Center for Biotechnology, confirms efficacy against bacteria and viruses.
Installed in the risk offices of Copredije in Madrid, DUO undergoes meticulous calculations to ensure optimal coverage and disinfection. Combined with traditional cleaning, programmed UV-C disinfection enhances cleanliness and well-being in the workplace.
