The Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Banco Santander, with the collaboration of the territorial Chambers of Commerce and the main Spanish press publications, celebrate this year the V Edition of the SME of the Year Award.
This Award aims to recognize the performance of small and medium-sized companies, whose activity is essential for the creation of employment and the generation of wealth.
We are happy to share the news that we have been selected as the winner of the SME 2021 Award in the province of Burgos.
Almost 60 years ago, in 1962, our founder, José Ramón García Requejo, found a spinning wheel, more than three centuries old in an antique dealer. Despite his young age, and with an immense desire to create, José Ramón decided to buy the piece and turn it into a lamp of which he would sell thousands of replicas.
The demand for this first product prompted him to produce his first collections of lamps and furniture.
As a company, we have had to constantly adapt to the changes that the world has undergone, which is why innovation is so important to us in all areas. During all these years we have had ups and downs, but constant learning from the hand of innovation has been a support to remain competitive worldwide.
That is why we are proud to win this award, as it recognizes the effort of all these years. Now we have to compete at the national level, we hope to share good news soon.
