King Felipe VI chooses a hotel illuminated by García Requejo for his stay in Havana

The visit to Cuba by the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Doña Letizia, can only be described as historic. He is the first king to pay a state visit to the last Spanish colony in America.

Their Majesties have chosen the Hotel Iberostar Grand Packard to stay during their visit. A historic building located in Old Havana, where you can find the most iconic lamps of the firm García Requejo.

The hotel, which offers high quality services and an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, is the second five-star plus luxury hotel in the Cuban capital.

One of the first rooms that the kings of Spain could have seen is the lobby, with a large rest area and VIP areas to check-in. Its minimalist style combines with the rest of the hotel decoration, where we can find simple lines with a cosy lighting, that harmonizes with the environment and brings warmth to the space.

This decorative style can be found in its more than 300 rooms, equipped with all the comforts and the latest LED technology, to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere or a moment of reading before going to bed.

Other places where the kings could relax under the lights of García Requejo, after fulfilling their busy agenda, could be the bar – presided over by the impressive grand piano – or the pool terrace, enjoying the sunset over the Faro del Morro.

Or even enjoying a pleasant dinner in the different restaurants that the Hotel Gran Packard offers. From gourmet fusion dishes to the classic Spanish tapas and traditional Cuban gastronomy. A paradise for the five senses.

A dream place, in a city that continues to celebrate its 500th anniversary.
