The building, renovated by Moneo and built by Bouygues, is the second luxury hotel labelled as 5 stars plus in Havana, which was inaugurated in September 10.
This is not the first time that García Requejo is responsible for lighting a hotel in the capital of Cuba. The Spanish brand has already illuminated the Hotel Manzana Kempinski, awarded with the Versailles Prize. These two, together with the Hotel Paseo del Prado, will make up the luxury triad of the historic center of Havana.
On this occasion, García Requejo has provided the lighting of the 321 rooms of the hotel, as well as the common areas. Placed in the same location as a predecessor of the same name, at the intersection of Paseo de Prado and Calle Cárcel, the new 10-storey Grand Hotel Iberostar Packard has only retained its century-old façades, from which now stands the modern structure of its upper floors.
