Christmas is a magical time, full of wonders and light. For us, it is time to explore, mix colours and textures and rediscover the joy and excitement of children.
If you are a minimalist or Scandinavian style fan, the aim for sustainability and respect towards the environment takes a new meaning here. Natural elements in a simple and elegant line; materials such as wood, branches and wool; brown and green colours or plaid prints make the difference in this case. In this kind of style “less is more” is your mantra.
As always, metal hues are the kings of the moment. However, differently from other seasons, it seems like the brightness is reduced, and aged glow is becoming the main character. Patina, rust and oxygenic iron give warmth to the Christmas decoration.
Two of the materials which are gaining relevance in Christmas decoration trends are wicker and rattan. We can find them in lots of elements such as stars, birds, reindeers, sledges, trees, angels, balls, lamps….
If you want to create the hyggest place in earth, choose cosy and furry fabrics in the right colours. This year you can give a touch of magic using bold and capturing colours such as deep burgundy, dark blue, grey, brown and the classic forest green.
In our opinion, these colours are fantastic to create a welcoming Christmas decoration, especially when it is cold outside.
But if you are also a traditional Christmas fan decoration, you can mix the previous colours with the traditional red, green and gold.
The trends in this season are particularly rich and Christmas decoration for 2019/2020 has a lot to offer.
Follow these guidelines, but most of all have a magical holiday!
